Hacienda will accept payment by card for fines and fees

The payment of fees and fines is a process that will now be much easier to perform. The reason? Hacienda will accept payments with credit cards by private parties. This innovation is due to the modification of several provisions prepared by the Ministry of Economy, reflected in the order PRE / 1064/2016 dated June 29.

CREDIT CARDS TO PAY FINES AND FEES

A new provision prepared by the Ministry of Economy will provide individuals with the payment of different canons, fines or non-tax debts, which have been divided or extended. In this way, those interested can make their corresponding payments with a simple credit card, under conditions of electronic commerce.

Order PRE / 1064/2016 of June 29 will be adapted to comply with the different provisions of the law pertaining to the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. Specifically, the order will be adapted to article number 98, which refers to the use of various electronic means, with the aim of making the corresponding payments to the General State Administration.

Payments can also be made electronically. In this case, the interested person must enter the corresponding amount on the website or electronic headquarters of the State Agency for Tax Administration. To cancel the debt you can use a credit card or debit account system. The receipt that is generated will have character of payment; therefore, the managing bodies may check the validity of these payment documents.

PAY TRAFFIC FINES FROM THE COMFORT OF HOME

There are three ways to pay a fine. The first is face-to-face, the second is by telephone and the third is online. Without a doubt, the latter is the fastest, most convenient and most convenient in many ways. But, how is this process?

In order to pay a fine online, the first thing to know is the file number of the penalty. It is important to remember that, in order to opt for this method, such payment must be made during the period known as "voluntary". This period corresponds to the 20 days after the fine was imposed; If this time passes and has not been paid, you should go to an office of mail or to a Provincial Traffic Headquarters.

Finally, the last requirement of vital importance to complete this process is to have a credit card on hand. Once the person has all the necessary information, they must enter the website of the General Directorate of Traffic; there you will find information on the different ways to pay fines online.

There are three ways to pay the fine online. The first one is with an electronic certificate, the second one is without an electronic certificate and the last one with a pin key. The pin code is an identification system that was created by the Ministry of Finance; The objective of this system is to be able to make electronic payments in an easier and more agile way. On the other hand, the electronic certificate is the digitized version of the DNI.

Currently, the process of paying fines and fees is much simpler. For most of the cases, face-to-face payment is no longer required. Thanks to technology, this process can be done much more quickly, comfortably and organized for all interested parties.
