Senate approves law violence against children

On 29 March 2016 the full Senate approved a motion to the parliamentary groups to study the implementation of the Organic Law against violence against children.

In addition, specific measures against groups that are vulnerable, such as children with mental health problems, disabled or ethnic minority groups to be taken.

Last year the law of child protection was adopted, but with this new law, added new clauses and procedures to protect this group, going further and increasing the capacity to detect victims.

The Law on Protection of Children and Adolescents, which entered into force in August 2015 and reformed twenty laws (system adoption and foster care, orphans' pensions, conditions of detention centers, right to listen in court proceedings and recognition of children as direct victims in cases of domestic violence) and was touted as the great reform for the protection of minors.
